Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful class of loving students that are craving to learn and become better readers. I have the ESOL class which is a class full of students that are learning the English language as a second language. I'd love for them to be able to hear the books so they can increase their vocabulary.

I have 17 beautiful students, all ESOL students learning English.

They are vibrant and full of life. They love learning and new experiences. They are all from low income homes and struggle daily just to have the basic needs met. Most do not have the financial means for basic school supplies and uniforms, much less books and technology.

My Project

Having the learning center in my classroom would benefit the students in such a positive way. My students would be able to put in a cd and listen to the book being read to them. They can follow along expanding their vocabulary and pronunciation of words. There are interactive learning centers that can be used with the learning center as well to help sharpen their skills using context clues and multiple meaning words, etc.

A donation to my class will brighten their day, sharpen their minds and help build their academic future.

For my students to know someone cared enough to support their future, would be priceless to them. It takes a village to raise a child.
