My Students

Hello everyone!! This project is geared towards the ELL's that are in my classroom- my school is very diverse and we have students from a wide range of cultures. I would love to have a listening center so my students are able to listen to a story and follow along to the words on the page.

Students are very technologically savvy and I want to give them the opportunity to build on their reading while also learning another language!

The CD player that I have on my project list lets more than one student listen to a story at the same time. This will help students partner read and build a connection while reading.

My Project

I love using centers in the classroom but one that is missing is a listening center. It is hard to find a great CD player that can let more than one student listen to a story at the same time- it helps to build partner reading, as well as, understanding different types of technology that can be used in the classroom.

What a great way for students, who are just starting to read, a chance to listen along to a story and follow the words on the page!

This lets them build an understanding of the words on the page and learning concepts of print!
