My Students

My students love to listen to books. We are trying to build our listening center. Help my students continue their reading journey with books and Cd's to use in our listening center to model reading fluency.

I am a 1st grade teacher in Title I school.

I have 24 students in my classroom and most of them are English Learners. My students love listening to stories! Since most of our parents do not speak English, my students are limited to listening to someone read a story to them (in English). So I try to make it up for the parents and read stories to my students everyday! Story time is their favorite time of the day, and this listening center would make them really happy!

My Project

The items I am requesting will greatly benefit my students. With the listening center, students will be able to listen to books on CD. It will help them learn the skills that they need, and build their vocabulary at the same time. The activity mats will help students with comprehension, listening, and following directions. They will use these items everyday during centers.
