My Project

I teach a very diverse class with students from different cultural backgrounds. My students are learning to speak, read, listen, and write in Mandarin and English. My students are creative, inquisitive, and eager to learn and participate. They love listening to stories, singing songs, and learning words. They love reading books and learning with their peers.

Your donation to this project will allow us to create a listening center in our classroom.

My kindergartners will be able to not only listen to English and Mandarin stories, but also listen to multicultural music and children's songs during our small group time.

This learning center will provide ample opportunities for my students to improve their listening skills and reading comprehension skills. My kindergartners are very intelligent and are eager to learn.

During our Mandarin instructional time, we are working on learning Mandarin songs, reading stories, and writing characters. This listening center will help my students review the songs and stories they learned in class and help them become independent readers.
