My Students

In my classroom, I have students that come from all socioeconomic statuses. Our school is run down and was supposed to be rebuilt, but when a tornado ripped through our town, those plans were put on hold as other schools had to be built.

I want my students to have the best and be able to succeed in life.

As a teacher, our district gives us a very minimal amount to go towards our room.

I have a class with students who receive many special services and need ways to move in class. Many of my students don't receive the support at home that they need, and that is the part of my job that is the most difficult. I want all these students to be as successful as possible, and that is why I chose this career. These students need me and they need the school's support.

My Project

My students struggle to see when they are at the carpet because I am writing on the white board with an anchor chart and a magnet. I believe that with the easel they will be able to see better and not focus on my back. This will also increase my classroom management. With the clipboards, this will make carpet time much easier for them as they work on their writing. They will be more engaged and eager to learn.

The most important part of my students day in learning is when they are in small group with me.

I have lots of students who receive special services and who also have sensory issues. The wobble chairs will help them stay focused on their learning and engage those wiggling needs that they have. Please help out our class and fund our project! They can't wait to write and send thank you cards.
