My Project

As a special education teacher, many of my students process information best through an audio medium. This can mean watching a video, hearing an article read aloud, or listening to a podcast.

Having headphones means students can receive the support they need to access content without a teacher needing to manually read aloud materials.

This promotes independence in students as they can search out and listen to materials to support their own learning, or determine what they need read aloud at their own pace.

With many students of different levels in a classroom, having headphones available means each student can receive the level of support they need without causing disruption to other students or needing to rely on a teacher to provide the supports.

Many of our students don't have access to technology outside of school, and therefore do not have headphones when they come into school.
