My Project

I teach in a Title I school in Southern California, where 100% of students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students face many obstacles in their lives, such as poverty and crime. But despite these issues, they come to school every day, ready to learn.

My students are enthusiastic learners, who love to read, write, and learn new things.

I want to encourage their enthusiasm and provide them with a safe, nurturing environment where they will persevere and feel successful.

The students in my class are all at different levels academically. To meet all their needs, I will need to differentiate my instruction and provide intervention. The headphones with microphones will allow them to listen to their iPads while they are working on educational apps and creating projects. With the addition of new headphones, my students will be able to practice their reading and math skills, listen to stories read to them, and view educational videos. I can assign work to meet the needs of each student and they can work independently.
