My Students

I am currently a 5th grade Exceptional Education Teacher within a collaboration classroom.

I teach in a low-income, urban, Title I school. The population of the school is majority African Americans students. My students face a lot of challenges on an everyday basis, but it does not stop them from learning and being the best they can be. I enjoy teaching each and everyone of them. My students are sweet and wonderful kids who want to learn as much as they can. They will definitely put a smile on your face!

My Project

Audio listening has shown growth within the student's progress in Reading. When students listen to audio books and follow along it increases their reading levels. When students get on educational programs it enhances their learning ability to become engaged and knowledgeable. Students pay more attention to technology when sound is associated with the context. Students are able to listen and hear lessons on the computer appropriately.

The headphones will definitely make a major difference in the student's learning environment.

Students will be able to listen to books and educational programs at an appropriate sound level without being a distraction. The headphones will be a great asset to the classroom especially to the students who have an audio accommodation. It will be easier to have a smooth transition into taking assessments.
