My Students

The students at my school are awesome! These students come to school each and every day ready to hit the ground running with their education. They may have struggles, but they try their hardest to fight these struggles to become better students.

My school is located in a neighborhood that faces many difficulties on a daily basis.

It is a poverty-stricken neighborhood. My school is a Title One school and every student receives free lunches daily. Even though the neighborhood isn't the best for these students and their families, they still make it to school each day. The school is most students' safe place where they can be themselves and enjoy learning.

My Project

The listening center books that I have requested will enable my students to be more engaged as they listen to different stories. There are both fiction and nonfiction books in this selection. These books will get my readers to think about stories and visuals to go along with the story.

This will also improve their reading and fluency skills because they will be able to listen to a story and understand how good readers read.

My students enjoy listening to different stories. Once they listen to them once, they always want to listen again and again! Please help us get some books.
