My Students

The demographics at my school consist of 65% African American 30%, Latino 2%, White 11%, English Language Learners and 33% students with special needs. We are a title 1 school where all students receive free lunch and breakfast. The majority of the students come from low-economic households and/or live in homeless shelters. Most of these households are single parent.

We are in dire need of headphones to help students in the classroom when we have multiple students working on computers at the same time taking online test.

Students are excited to be back we want them to get the most out of learning! We could also use pencils, and dry erase markers, and crayons.

My Project

My students come to school with bright faces ready to learn. They are a special education class and the headphones will help them become more independent during reading.

My students are excited to be back in school learning 5 days a week.

We will be using our headphones to support our students with special needs. Students can listen to stories and digital learning tools individually with headphones. Students use the crayons, pencils and to write and draw during all subjects. Seeing these material will make them super excited to get to work!
