Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Being at our school for several years, I have gotten the chance to really get to know many of the students in the school, including those I have never taught. Many of them have gone through seriously adverse situations and misfortunes that impact their everyday life, especially their education. I am amazed at how resilient they can be, and how they push through to the best of their abilities regardless of hardships that affect them. Being a fifth-grade teacher has shown me how fast some students have to mature. I have taught their younger siblings in previous years (coming up from kindergarten and first grade) and see how they take care of their family. Each child that I have gotten to know at this school has my heart.

I want nothing but the best for all of these students, and that includes giving them hands-on experiences that will be memorable to them.

My students need to be able to feel like school isn't another one of their draining duties or work. I want ALL of them to enjoy school and look forward to each day in my class.

My Project

Now that I teach a new subject, the need for headphones has become more prevalent. I have students with audio requirements that need to be met and I want to be sure I supply it for them. I also want to provide more engaging literacy activities for my students who struggle with spelling and reading. The items requested here are going to achieve that.

Headphones are going to help make stations go much more smoothly and make students more motivated to get their computer assignments completed!

They are also going Along with the headphones, the literacy games and doorbell are going to get these kids excited about small group stations, as well as their teacher!
