My Students

I teach a wonderful group of preschoolers! Eight of my students have special needs and ten of my students are general education students. Every one of my students is unique and able to learn!

Some students enter VPK already knowing their colors or shapes.

However, quite often I get students that can’t remove a lid from a marker, or who can’t draw a circle. Because of this, it is essential that I equip my classroom with the materials that will help my students succeed! In fact, without proper materials to engage students in learning, many students will begin their education with a disadvantage. I can’t let this happen. With your help, we can provide 18 preschool students with a listening center that will provide entertaining learning experiences and a CD player for large group music and movement! Thank you for sharing and or donating to support student learning!

My Project

Preschoolers love listening to stories and moving to music! With a CD player for our classroom, I will be able to entertain our class with different genres of music that will teach the students as they engage and experience learning!

During work time as the students choose their area to engage, I’m sure the listening center will be a big hit!

The stories and songs in the listening center will benefit the students by promoting language development. For my students who have language and speech handicaps, listening will help them understand language and sounds. For my general education students, they will be able to learn vocabulary, concepts, sequencing, and timelines.
