This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We were fortunate enough to have 1:1 chromebooks for our students. Unfortunately we do not have headphones for each student in the class to use. So our math program which is very engaging and builds the students' skills cannot be as exciting as it should be. The volume has to be turned down low so that others can concentrate. With headphones, students can fully experience the excitement of the program while learning at the same time. Several students also complain about being easily distracted. They also love to wear headphones to help block out classroom noise while working independently.

Having headphones will help keep my students focused while they are building their math skills.

This will help ensure their math success this year and in the future. My dream is that when my students are adults, they never say "I hate math!"
