L'Immersion Française!

My Students

My students this year are Freshmen, who are extremely motivated. They love to use language in the classroom and have fun speaking French even outside of the classroom. We enjoy using Flipgrid and other online platforms for speaking practice.

These highly motivated students inspire me to give it all my all every day.

Our class is very diverse and made up of students from the Caribbean, Europe, Canada and the United States. Being from the Caribbean myself, I encourage them to make the class a community where we respect and appreciate our differences. French is something new and different for them all and together we strive for excellence. We celebrate all our accomplishments everyday.

They love French and enjoy the class. I would like help this year in securing a new laminating machine to help us create colorful flashcards for their use in class. This will facilitate their speaking in Target Language. It would make them so happy and when they are happy and motivated, it makes the class ambiance so much more wonderful!

My Project

My students will be immersed in French language and culture by seeing these beautiful and bright posters every day. The DVDs will offer my students a deeper and more meaningful opportunity to experience French culture without even leaving their classrooms.

A foreign language is best learned through immersion and these authentic tools will bring French to life for my dedicated students!

When asked if they may see a movie, I am unable to find an age-appropriate movie for them. These cute and authentic cartoons will reinforce their cultural knowledge and immerse them in the lovely language and culture of the French!
