This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My transitional kindergarten classroom is a fantastic field arranged with blooming minds. A place where actively engaged,amazing children spend most of their day growing and learning.

I would describe my students as the developing seeds you plant in a field.

A field that requires a vast amount of nurture, guidance and resources. My students are creative, inquisitive and full of energy. They love to paint, build and maintain their little hands exploring all day long. However, during these hard economical times it is difficult to provide my students with all the resources needed. Our school's population is composed mostly of low socio-economic families. In addition, budget cuts have really played an impact on the amount of resources we can obtain in our classroom. Lack of resources can limit our children's learning. However, with your help I will be able to provide my students with the tools they need for a better future.

My Project

The materials I am requesting for my students will help me enhance their learning in many ways. They will be able to experience the arts through painting. They will develop fine- motor skills and a world of creativity by working with play-dough and with different manipulatives. My students will be able to learn letter names and letter sounds through games and center activities. Visuals will amplify student's attention and development as well.

Your donations will have a massive impact on my students in so many levels.

Mental, social and physical developmental growth will take place from day to day. Many of the materials are materials the children will experience only in school. Exposure to these materials will make a difference in my student's lives.
