My Project
My name is Lili Mandl, and this is my first year teaching. I am deeply fortunate to work in a wonderful school, surrounded by experienced and supportive teachers. My 5th-grade students were just learning to read when the pandemic hit, and though they show great interest in reading, many feel discouraged or ill-equipped to engage in texts of their choosing. In my first week, I have gotten to know their preferences and passions a bit more, and feel confident this selection of books will help them along the path towards becoming lifelong readers.
