We all have a story. Some more colorful than others. Here's our story...in the heart of the city, where there are so many influences to persuade students to take the wrong path. My students rise above statistics and peer pressure. We are a school with a 99.8% African American, .2% Hispanic population, and a high school graduation rate of 76.8%. We are a 100% free or reduced-price lunch, Title I school, but those are just numbers.
Our Future Business Leaders of America members are passionate about making the virtual experience the best it can be.
These Future Business Leaders work with the passion to influence the world but lack the supplies to see their visions through. Our student members define success when every student has the ability to stay healthy and focused in the online learning environment. We are the BTW Future Business Leaders!
Our student FBLA student members as they provide blue light blocking glasses to their peers. As we continue with virtual learning from home, we would like to ensure students do not begin to suffer from eyestrain! Screen time is at an all-time high as we engage in zoom lessons, online classwork, projects, activities, virtual fields, you name it! We are looking to help not only the students in our school, but our younger populations in our cluster. Please help to make these resources available to students who are already in need of this technology!
