My Project

The materials that we are requesting, the changing light cube and the assorted games and puzzles, such as Count Your Chickens game and the Let's Go Fishing Game, will be used to foster children's curiosity and enjoyment in exploring the world around them and lay the foundation for a progression of learning in elementary school and throughout their entire lives.

Science is important in Pre-school.

Young children are naturally curious, and our young learners are naturally inquisitive about the world around them. This natural curiosity is what drives them to explore and investigate. It is the reason they learn anything at all. We should be taking advantage of their inquisitive nature and using it to nurture their enthusiasm for scientific discovery.

Games and puzzles are also important for our Pre-school students. Games can improve children's abilities to plan, organize, get along with others, and regulate emotions. In addition, play helps with language, math and social skills, and even helps children cope with stress. Moreover, board and other games can increase memory and concentration, develop critical thinking skills, aid in the process of social development, teaching children diplomatic and rule based play, and fine and large motor skills. Apart from the fact that children are developing essential critical thinking skills while playing learning games, they are also learning critical social skills. Games allow the child to work in teams and requires that the child importance to that of the group, teaching them to work with others in a productive, non-competitive way to reach a desired goal. By playing in group learning games, children learn compassion, empathy and the importance of considering the ideas of others, which are a critical set of skills for the 21st century.

These materials have many benefits for children as they develop into a well rounded person.
