Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am writing this proposal for my students who participate in our school musical. Our elementary school serves a large urban area with a high percentage of students from low-income homes. Our student body is culturally diverse, allowing our school community to experience languages and customs from many cultures as we interact daily.

The majority of my students do not have the opportunity to explore and experience high-quality theater arts instruction outside of the school setting.

Seeing them grow in their knowledge and excitement about music brings joy and a sense of accomplishment to our entire school community. Many of our students will continue participating in music at the high school level.

We are requesting a laser light projector, and magic tricks for our spring musical production of Aladdin. The magic tricks will be part of the song "Friend Like Me." The laser light projection machine will be used to create a starry night for "I Can Show You the World." These items will help create a memorable theatrical experience for our young singers and actors as we create a magical and whimsical procession of amazing royalty.

Students who participate in our productions are learning many exciting things about theater, music, dance, singing, and acting. We are creating high-quality music learning experiences that they will remember for a lifetime. Please become a part of their music theater experience by helping to fund this exciting project.
