Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are special and always eager to learn. These students are always pushing their boundaries to learn more. They demonstrate a lot of creativity and are always looking for new ways to create.

The students in my classroom come from diverse backgrounds but share a passion to create.

Some of the students are fortunate to not have financial issues and other do. But they all work hard to think of new ideas and try new technologies to the classroom. Miami students have a great passion for everything including the arts.

My Project

Lighting in photography is everything and is the first thing we teach our students. Since there are many moments that natural light is not an option the students are always eager to experiment with artificial lighting. Artificial lighting is something most of our students are not able to experiment with. I have requested lighting kit, some external flashes that will offer the artificial lighting. In this project we also placed a lighting tent and backdrop which will allow for backgrounds free of distractions. In this project we will also have the opportunity to try different lenses for variety in the projects. We also placed some photography accessories that will help with some equipment that are in need of repair. If this project is funded the students will have lights and a backdrop to help create new and inspiring works. Students can also experiment with fashion and studio photography. Each year we have students that are pursing their passion and I want to help them achieve their goals with new equipment.
