My Students

I teach 3rd grade at a small town Title I school. I have a variety of students in my class. They love to have fun while learning.

I constantly get asked, "What fun thing are we doing today, Mrs. Hinson?"

I love hearing them say they love school, and they think it is fun! In today's society, the children do not do well just sitting and listening to a lecture. They thrive with hands-on activities and group work. Whenever we do group activities, my students get really excited!

My Project

We are in need of two new lamps and new light bulbs for our classroom. With these lamps, it will allow us to keep the bright lights off and use the soft lighting to work and do activities in our classroom. In our room, I try to use minimal overhead lights and more lamps, string lights etc. This allows the kids to have a calming environment while they are working. The kids love the string lights and always ask to have them on. These additional lamps will also allow us to have more lighting in areas of our classroom. Thank you for your support.
