Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project aims to create traditional Lunar New Year decorations like lanterns, paper cuttings, and calligraphy in our Asian Pacific Movement, our AAPI cultural club at Sunset Park High School for the coming lunar new year of Snake. So leading my club students, we will host various activities with our entire school to celebrate the joy and excitement of the Lunar New Year celebration again.

The resources we need are most of the craft supplies, such as the kits for making lanterns or paper dragons; also some snacks for our students since it is their after-school time as well.

Activities: Art workshops to design and display decorations in our school club as well as during the entire school celebration.
