My Project

Integrating lights into the special education classroom is a fun and engaging way for students to engage in learning their most basic skills. They encourage the development of a wide range of skills, including fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, pre-writing skills, color recognition, and more. Light panels will be integrated into a calming area of the classroom to help students when they need to regulate their bodies. Additionally, the touch light center will draw the students attention to a color changing dome, that they have the ability to control. Students will find this as a means of calming down.

Students will be able to practice the fundamentals of writing using the tracible letters, count using 10 frames, and engage in building with magna tiles all while being illuminated.

Engaging in academics with the use of lights will help hold the student's attention for even longer!
