My Students

I currently have 24 Pre-kindergarten students on my roster. All of my students’ families have elected in-person instruction. Unlike previous years, our campus has elected to have heterogeneous prekindergarten classrooms with 3 and 4 years old students. The 3-year-old scholars are newly turned 3 and require learning tools that are developmentally appropriate for them. My students are enthusiastic about learning despite all of the challenges during this pandemic. For many of them, this will be their first experience in a structured learning environment outside of their homes.

My Project

The resources in this project will be used to provide equity in my pre-kindergarten classroom. It will be a fun, innovative way to spark and maintain their interest in a learning task. The resources are developmentally appropriate for the scholars that are not ready for pencil and paper learning tasks. Keeping our focus on the main thing is the goal: to learn. So allowing them to practice skills with hands-on resources while being creative and innovative is a win-win outcome for all. These materials will allow them to be independent thinkers.
