My Project

My classroom is an integrated preschool class with a 50 : 50 split of special needs and typically developing preschoolers. There are a variety of special needs: autism, visual impairments, and multiple disabilities. The light panels and accessories will improve visual-motor integration, visual perception, and sensory processing abilities in children with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.

The light up boards and variety of manipulatives will not only make learning math and science fun but will give my students opportunities to learn side-by-side together through play while socializing and learning with peer modeling.
