My Students

Every morning 18 little faces great me with big smiles, high fives, and hugs. As they "check in" to school by moving pictures of themselves from the home side to the school side of the chart, they look around in excitement. Who will they play with today? What will they read? Will the weather be nice enough to go outside? Will they finally master opening their milk carton? Will they be the Helper Of The Day? Whatever the day brings these 18, 3-4 year old children will dive in, head first, ready to engage with their whole self!

My Project

A light table is an illuminated table. They are used for learning and exploring different educational toys and materials, as therapy for autistic, sight impaired and other special needs children, for artists to draw and trace on, for doctors to view x-rays, and widely used as an educational staple in early childhood classrooms. Light tables are an amazing way to explore light, and learn about how different materials react to being placed on a light source. Light tables are a unique educational item that can help children learn and explore through a whole new world.

Kids love being creative, and light tables ignite imagination and innovation.

Light tables assist children in sensory development, encourage growth and nurture their curiosity. This helps children develop a variety of necessary competencies, as art education has been proven to increase activity in the brain, promote self-esteem, self-motivation, cooperation and many other helpful skills.

It makes learning so much more interesting. It opens children's eyes to a whole new way of learning.
