My Project

Our class would love to have materials to make sun catchers for our light unit. Students are learning about translucent, transparent, and opaque materials. Students will put these materials in a sun catcher.

This hands-on activity will solidify these science terms as they use these materials to make an art project that they can take home.

Students will place contact paper into the embroidery hoop, then add translucent, transparent, and opaque materials on the sticky side and hang it with a ribbon. They will be able to show and tell their families how much they know about light!
