Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our goal is to provide students with access to quality weightlifting equipment that will enable them to engage in strength training, thereby improving their physical and mental health.

We aim to support mental health by creating an environment where students can use exercise as a tool for stress relief and build their self-esteem through strengthening their body.

Many of my students come from underserved communities and face obstacles that impact their mental and emotional health. Our fitness/weightlifting program provides a space for them to build a sense of self esteem while working towards goals that will support their lifelong health and wellness.
