Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a Title 1 public charter school that primarily serves a lower socioeconomic population with a lot of English Language Learners. There are many more difficulties a majority of our students experience on a day-to-day basis than in some other schools.

Our school's mission is to create students who will be college and career-ready with cross-cultural competence when they leave here.

For my students, they will be the first generation in their family to go to college.

My Project

These weights will help accelerate our student's health in the weight room! They are without so many things and the COVID-19 virus put our progress to a grinding halt.

My vision for our students is to grow and keep growing no matter the cause.

I cannot explain how much these kids are yearning for more and the want and need for growth has been amazing to witness. I am hopeful that with your generous giving that these students will have the opportunity to pursue what they have always wanted to!
