My Students

I think of my students as sponges. They are craving love, eager to learn and soaking in everything good in their lives. I have been the PE teacher at my Title I school for 14 years. I have watched my students grow up and be successful in life. 2020 and 2021 have been rough years for my PE students. Our kids are thriving on social interaction opportunities and clubs. Relationships is the key to all learning.

My Project

My students will be able to learn the importance of LOVING fitness by experiencing new activities. These activities will allow them to try sports that they may have never seen, never heard of or never even dreamed about. I love my job when I see a student learn something about themselves by becoming successful in a new activity.

I will be using these new materials to set up stations for the students to rotate around the gym and participate in each activity.

My hope is that they will find the activity that they enjoy doing and that it will become a lifetime fitness activity for them in the future.
