Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a unique blend of amazing transitional kindergarten students. They are bright, enthusiastic learners and rise to any challenge I present to them. I have a diverse group, even though we are a small group. 1/3 of my class is comprised of English Language Learners and I have about 1/4 of my class with special needs. With so many different learners in my classroom, I am constantly finding new ways to engage them.

All of my students have a passion for learning that I'm happy to encourage!

My Project

I have been working on buying things like pillows and wobble cushions for my students to help make our learning environment more comfortable. These bean bag chairs would help to complete our library space. When children are comfortable, they spend a much longer time engaging with books. Also, our library space is also where students who need a break can go to calm down. Having a comfortable space to be able manage their feelings will make this space enticing for them. Overall, the bean bags will help the children be more engaged in the library area and be comfortable in their classroom.
