Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I believe it is important to incorporate a life skills class into my students' education. Core classes are great, but a lot of kids will go on from high school and not know how to pay a bill or fill out government documents. I plan to teach them how to build resumes, manage money, perform CPR, etc. to better prepare for the real world. I am a young adult who still has to call my mom for a crisis! From being sheltered to juggling college classes, athletics, and a job at the same time, life got hard. How can I get these kids to be capable and independent when college/jobs come around at 18? LIFE SKILLS CLASS!
