My Project

Hello, I am a special education teacher in a functional life skills classroom at a small school in central Illinois. I am looking to set up a snack store cart for my students to operate. The students will sell snacks and beverages to the staff. The students will deliver orders during our vocational skills class and count the money during our functional math class. All money made will be put directly back in to more snacks and beverages for the business. Developing vocational skills is crucial for my students to help prepare them for life after high school. The utility cart being requested will be used to deliver and store the beverages and snacks. The cash register will be utilized for storing money made by the business.

The students will learn to take inventory, count money, give change, and interact with other members of our school.

This project will help my students to improve their vocational skills as well as their social skills and money math skills.
