Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in my life skills support classroom are amazing! They are always so anxious to have the opportunity to dive into new activities and lessons that they can build on and put into practice outside of their school environment.

The items requested will assist in making application in domestic & personal maintenance, vocational skills, and transitional skills.

There is not a lot of hands-on group activities within our current curriculum that we can put into practice, so this will be an asset in allowing the students to see how things should work within their communities and at home in relatable moments.

The table setting activity lesson can be taught as a part of both the domestic maintenance to build independence and understand the importance of helping during meal time. It can also be used as a vocational activity lesson in order for the students to identify jobs and building skills that may require the task of preparing a table in the hospitality industry.
