My Students

Every day my students are eager to sit and listen to a story being read to them. Our goal is to foster that love of learning by creating life long readers.

My students are a combination of ASD Nest students and general education students.

They are energetic, fun loving, and very supportive of each other. They love to listen to stories being read to them. Many of them are just beginning their own personal journeys as readers and every day we encourage them to become more independent with their reading skills.

My Project

In our classroom we will use the books, carpet squares, and sight word cards to build our reading skills. The children will be able to select books to take home so that they can practice their newly learned reading skills each night. They will also use the carpet squares and sight word cards in our reading corner to enhance their budding reading skills.

Building life long readers is a top priority in our classroom.

These new books, carpet squares, and sight word cards will give my students the ability to practice their newly acquired reading skills in a comfortable environment.
