Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world. Constantly color your picture gray, and your picture will always be bleak. Try adding some bright colors to the picture and your picture begins to lighten up.- A. Klein. This quote is hung in my room as a daily reminder to my students.

I am blessed to teach 18 first grade gifted students in a neighborhood school in an urban part of Florida.

My school is a Title I school, which means that over 70% of the students receive free or reduced price lunch. My students have a wide variety of learning needs and challenges. My students are eager to learn.

My Project

With the use of a color printer and scanner, my students will be able to produce newsletters, brochures, greeting cards, and other projects that look as if they were printed professionally. Students who have trouble with neatness for any reason enjoy this added benefit. Having a color printer/scanner will allow my students to see their work come to life, in living color.

This project will enhance literacy, math, science and the arts, and promote innovation and enhancement in education.

My students are excited about the array of projects they will be able to accomplish using a color printer/scanner.
