My Students

I am tasked with the pleasure of teaching enthusiastic, second-grade students in all subject areas. These students are curious, intelligent, and creative beyond all measure but teaching from home has made things challenging. They attend a visual and performing arts magnet school in Los Angeles. Since our school is an arts magnet, we try to integrate art in all forms into as many subject areas as possible. The students at this school come from various backgrounds with various life experiences. Funding for some of our materials is difficult to come by. I appreciate you coming to our page and would appreciate any​ support you could give.

My Project

I am excited to be teaching my students the basics of movie making and animation. Currently, my students have been learning the basics of movie making using iMovie as well as stop motion videos using iPads. The next step is for them to create their own movies and tell their own stories.

In order to create more realistic movies, they will need to have the materials to paint and draw the sets and create their own characters.

I am also asking for iPad stands because it is a challenge for them to create their works of art whilst holding the iPads in their hands. Stabilizing the camera is an absolute must in creating realistic stop-motion films. The green screen roll will allow them to take their creations in to any place they can create or imagine.
