Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will help give my students a fun and interactive experience. I am trying to be prepared for the life cycle of a plant in the spring.

The items I have chosen are grow light lamps, small plastic pots, soil, watering cans and more.

These items will be for each of my students to get to plant their own seeds and have the ability to watch them grow in class under the grow light lamp. I also added a play garden area where we can practice gardening before we start our project. It will also be a nice set up to have and use during our science block. I added some Lego kits of plants in a pot so students could use their creativity and problem solving skills to build the plants.

This will be a hands-on project and a fun experience for them. By the end of the project they will be able to take their plants home after it has grown. They will be able to give it as a gift to their mother on "Mother's Day".
