Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students the opportunity to participate on the LICHS Swim Team by supporting our apparel and equipment needs.

 

My Project:

Our school was designed to create a welcoming, affirming, and supportive learning environment for multicultural learners and their families. As part of the Public Schools Athletic League, the swim team’s mission is to provide opportunities for educating students in physical fitness, character development, and socialization skills. 

 

Right now not all swimmers have goggles or access to kickboards and equipment needed to improve their swimming skills.

 

To support the school and PSAL missions of participation and equity, goggles, kickboards, and other equipment will allow us to have more students join the team and have the opportunity to focus on the swimming skills they need to improve to participate in more competitive events.
