This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Spanish speaking second graders love to read and be read to by adults.

These hardworking students and extremeley hard working parents deserve books they can share together, in Spanish.

Our classroom needs more books in Spanish for kids to borrow and bring home for nightly reading. When students share reading with grown ups in any language it improves their vocabulary, comprehension, love of reading and bonding with their grown up. Please help my students and their parents to have more opportunities for reading together.

Each September our classroom library is fully stocked with loads of books in Spanish....many books never make it back to school...they find other homes they love. I need your help to refresh our classroom library so that the new class will have plenty of titles in Spanish from which to choose.
