Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to checkout popular titles, and I've bought multiple copies of bestsellers so more students can enjoy them at the same time without waiting to make it through a long wait period. I'm hoping to cover these high-circulating bestsellers in protective jackets so they'll last longer.

Additionally, I'm working to build two self-checkout stations for my high school library, so students can enjoy greater independence and self-reliance when learning to search online databases and catalogs for information or resources they need.

These will be important skills for all students in their adult lives whether or not they pursue higher education or technical training. Thank you for helping me expand my school's library services!
