My Project

As a Teacher Librarian at our school, I understand the importance of creating a learning environment that is relevant and engaging for our students. I am aware of the background and challenges our community faces, and I believe that addressing these specific needs will greatly impact their learning.

1.

Creating a 21st Century Media Center: We just received a Promethean board and need a projection area desk so we can transform our library into a modern learning space. This upgrade will enable us to incorporate interactive multimedia resources, videos, and presentations into our lessons. It will make the learning experience more dynamic and allow students to actively engage with the content.

2. Providing Library Seating: Currently, our library lacks proper furniture and seating options, which can hinder students' ability to focus and engage in independent reading and research. By requesting funding for comfortable and functional library furniture, we can create a welcoming space where students can comfortably read, study, collaborate, and access resources. This will encourage a love for reading and promote independent learning.

Overall, my goals for this project are to provide our 794 students with a 21st Century Media Center, improve library infrastructure, and offer resources that are aligned with their grade level and background. By addressing these needs, we can create a learning environment that is conducive to their academic success, promotes a love for reading, and enhances their overall educational experience.
