My Students

My class consist of 20 students from different cultural and economical background. Most of students do not have any previous classroom experience. We also have many students who speak different languages. I would like to build a diverse library that can help my students' socio emotional development.

My Project

Most of my students have never been in a classroom before. As many of them step away from their family for the first time, students need lots of guidance socially and emotionally to feel safe, loved, and build positive characteristics.

Read aloud is our favorite time to sit and discuss feelings and experiences.

Through reading, students are able to reflect on themselves and imagine the world. By having a variety of books, students will be able to develop their emotions and characteristics to be principled, balanced, caring, inquiring, and reflective.
