Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 20 wonderful students. They range in age from 3 to 5 years-old. My students represent a wide range of backgrounds. The school district is made up of 52% Hispanic, 35% African American, and 22% Caucasian. A few of my students are learning English, with Spanish being their primary language. They are very eager to learn and they deserve the best of the best!

My students are little sponges.

They are soaking in everything they learn. They are very excited to learn and grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Since they are very young, they need hands-on experiences to aid in their learning. They love to learn through play. Play is vital to the learning process for early childhood.

These students would greatly benefit from your donation. We are in great need of tools to assist their learning. Thank you for taking the time to read.

My Project

My students deserve materials that are sturdy and not falling apart. Right now I have two red chairs in my library. The screws holding them together do not stay in. The cloth for the seat and backrest is falling apart. I would love to give my students something comfortable and beautiful to sit on.

Also, this bench would give me more storage for my books.

Right now I have books in milk crates. This bench would help me get rid of the milk crates and store books nicely. Thank you so much for considering my project.
