This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Hello, I am a Primary Montessori teacher.
I teach Pre-K 4 and Kindergarten children in the same classroom.
I work very hard with each child to make them accomplished and confident readers.
I love to witness the "explosion" into reading that occurs at this age level. Our students love to write stories and reports. We use a Montessori material called 'the movable alphabet'. On Fridays we have a "show and tell" session. Kindergarten students sit at the front of the room, holding their story and proudly read to their peers. Another tradition in our room is our weekly trip to the school library. Such a Joy !
