Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our 3rd-grade class is such an amazing group of scholars filled with diversity, excitement, and eagerness to learn new things. My 52 students are split into 2 different blocks this semester, yet, all work very hard to learn in an exciting and positive environment. Working as a family is what helps us all grow. Some of my scholars are learning English as a second language, meanwhile, others are learning Spanish. No matter where each one of them stands, we all still work together so that each and every one of them continues to show growth.

We are a team of inquirers working together to achieve our goals.

Each one of my students knows the importance of inclusion and lending a helping hand when needed. In our class, we are all one, no matter where we come from or how well we speak different languages. Each one of my scholars knows that they are loved, they are problem solvers, and that they can reach all their goals. I keep high expectations for them because they know that by working hard, always trying, and working together we can make anything happen.

My Project

This variety of books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place where my students love to visit. Students will be able to choose books that will help them continue to not only enjoy independent reading time but also grow their reading levels. This is important because if the students have an interest in what they are reading their love for picking up a book will always continue to grow.

With this selection of books, my students will be able to practice their writing and enhance their reading abilities to learn.

My students already show their love for reading, and this project will further their experiences so that their love doesn't begin to fade away.
