My Project

WHES students possess boundless imaginations. My students are enthusiastic creators who love to craft and make things. Makerspace centers in the library provide students with a space for self-expression and creativity, vital components of a child's development. Incorporating makerspace centers into the library stimulates cognitive growth and enhances emotional well-being and social skills.

We're leveling up the library makerspace with button makers and accompanying accessories.

We'll use these tools to upcycle old library materials and show off original student creations. Hands-on activities like button-making nurture students' expression, reinforce STEAM skills, build essential collaborative skills, and integrate cross-curricular learning. Students will design buttons centered around WHES events, literacy, science, and social studies standards.
