Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are mostly minority and low-income. My school community is transient and my campus is urban.

They are resilient, determined, and intelligent but lack the resources and connections that other students their age may have access to.

My 7th-graders are destined for greatness but need the tools to more effectively use their technology.

My Project

Through a year and a half of the global pandemic, my students have had to adjust to increased technology in the classroom to access and enrich their education. My students have had to learn to adapt to all of their resources being online, including utilizing Google Classroom, Nearpod, Peardeck, EdPuzzle, Quizzizz, Blooket, Kahoot, etc.

Efficiency is critical as students learn to navigate and master utilizing technology in the classroom especially as state and district tests are now completely online.

Because many students are not fully comfortable using a mouse pad, having a wireless mouse will help them maximize their participation in the class and at home.
