My Students

I have a great bunch of kids. They are eager to learn and want to do the best that they can. We attend a public school in Blacksburg, VA. I teach third graders who are amazing, smart, and loving.

In our classroom, you will always find a diverse group of students.

There are students in our classroom who have a wide range of needs. Some are below level, on level, and above level in reading and in math. Having a wide range of understanding of the content makes it more difficult to reach each group, for each subject taught, on their level and with their learning style.

My Project

I would love to add more books to my classroom collection to fill my students' book boxes.

We go book "shopping" in our classroom every day to get books for our book boxes.

The more books we have in our collection the more excitement they have for reading.

Reading is so important in our day to day learning rotations and I can not wait to incorporate more levels of books. Every day we read to self for enjoyment so that the students can continue with the love of reading. I want students to enjoy reading and not just read because they have to for school. These books will make them excited to fill their book boxes.
