My Project

Literacy is a passion of mine and my favorite area to teach! Building a love of books and reading is a priority, and my students always request high-interest books that keep them motivated.

My students are an amazing group of children that are working hard on their beginning literacy skills.

The books I am requesting will help my students find high-interest books at their independent reading levels. Many of my students are still working on their decoding, while others are working on higher-level texts and comprehension strategies. With your assistance, I will be able to replenish my library in the classroom and give them new, exciting books that they will enjoy! The bonus is that these books will be read over and over, for years to come... and as students move up in their reading levels, they will have even more books to choose from!
